Schindler Dynatron S
Originally designed to offer a degree of variable speed control to 2-speed motors, the Dynatron S uses thyristors in order to proportionally control AC and DC current to the motor windings, regulating machine speed by way of encoder feedback.
Combined with the Miconic E , Miconic B or Miconic SX , this technology although a little dated, can still deliver smooth speed control at speeds up to 1.75m/s.
The Dynatron S was available in a number of sizes from 30 amp, 63 amp or 90 amp, common ID numbers are:
